For Historical Purposes, Here is the 2015 Harlan Days Schedule

Please visit our current Harlan Days schedule page for what is happening this year. Each year our volunteers organize events and entertainment for Harlan Days. They work right up till days before the event to ensure you have a reason to keep coming back year after year.

Committee meetings are held at 7pm at the Harlan Shelter House on June 22nd, July 6th, July 20th, July 29th for final set-up.

This years theme is “Celebrate Freedom”

Thursday, July 30th 2015

5:00 pm

•    Carnival Rides and Midway opens
•    Bingo Tent opens (till 10 pm)
•    Commercial, Craft, & Bingo Tents open
•    Food Tent opens: Pork Chops Sandwich, Bratwurst and Kraut,  Pork Chop Dinner includes 2 sides and a bag of chips.
•    Monster Truck Rides start ($5/person, till 10pm, South end of the arena tent. Look for the big truck.)

5:30 pm

•   Hoosier Gentry Barbershop Quartet (Roaming the Fairgrounds till 6:30pm)

5:55 pm

•   Opening Ceremony, National Anthem sung by Ethan Brandenberg and Flag Raising by Leo American Legion

6:00 pm

•    1st Drawing for Free T-Shirts, sponsored by area businesses – drawing every ½ hour at HQ tent
•    Children’s parade (Starts near the Midway Stage)
•    Basketball playoffs begin

7:00 pm

•   COED Softball Tournament
•   Dan Heath (On the Midway Stage till 10pm)

9:30 pm

•   Fireworks! (Bring blankets, chairs, or enjoy them from the outdoor arena bleachers.)

10:00 pm

•   Harlan Days closes for the night

Friday, July 31st 2015

5:00 pm

Saturday, August 1st 2105

7:00 am

•    All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast – Shelter House, prepared by North Scipio Methodist Church
•    5K Harlan Hustle run begins at Food Building

10:00 am

•    Harlan Days Grand Parade (Will head South from the old Harlan Elementary School on Spencerville Rd. to St Rd 37 East to School St, through the park, and will conclude back at the school.)
•    Honorary Citizen: Veterans for Earned Health Care (driven by Richard Robinson)
•    Grand Marshall: the Freedom Riders (Leo Post 409 American Legion Motorcycle Riders)
•    COED Softball Tournament continues

11:00 am

•    Carnival Rides and Midway opens
•    Commercial & Craft Tents open
•    Farmers Market opens (At the outdoor stage till 5pm)
•    Food Tent opens: Serving BBQ Chicken ½, roll, & 2 sides – prepared by the Harlan Lion’s Club (Serving till 9pm)
•    7th Annual Cornhole Tournament – Doubles begin on west tennis court. ($30/team to enter, cash prize for the top 3 teams. Contact Nick Krauter at 260-557-5559 to enter.)

11:30 am

•    1st Drawing for Free T-Shirts, sponsored by area businesses – drawing every ½ hour at HQ tent

12:00 pm

•    Monster Truck Rides start ($5/person, till 10pm, South end of the arena tent. Look for the big truck.)

•    Carnival Rides Special starts (Buy a wrist band and ride all afternoon for one price till 5pm)

•    Kiddie Pedal Tractor Pull begins near Food Tent (Participants get a free ride ticket)

•    Mark’s Ark (On the Midway Stage till 4pm)

4:00 pm

•    21st Annual Cruise-In Car Show

5:00 pm

•    COED Softball Tourney Championship game begins

6:45 pm

•    Basketball Playoffs continue

•    John Curran & Renegade (On the Midway Stage till 8pm)
•    Demolition Derby in the Arena (General admission $6, 12 & under free)

8:00 pm
